I decided to make my spalsh page a flash menu. I made each finger fade in and out and added a loading bar. I learnt how to create the preloader from http://www.bestflashanimationsite.com/tutorials/3/

Portfolio

I have linked pages for my portfolio to 4 different sections: Drawing, Photos, Music and Computer.

I need to shrink down images to make thumnails this weekend, and place them in the tables I will make for those pages...I might make a frame that displays down the bottom of my page to keep the thumbnails much like Adobe Photoshop's web-photo organisation thinger. I'm probably not making sense. When you see the final page, you'll understand SO much more.


Anyway, good luck to everyone else in this course making their webpages. I'm tired.

My HAND

I have re-done my index and made it my splash page. Here I also have a HAND that links to the different parts of the site, plus it is FILLED with mouse-overs. I went for an inspector gadget kind of idea with each image relating (somewhat) to where it links. ie. The pencil links to art, my head links to about me, the USB thing links to thelinks page...etc.

By the way, I have been using relative tables (%) throughout my whole site. I am doing this so that when viewed through different resoloutions, it doesnt mess up too much.

I have also used CSS coded into my template, and each page reffers to that template. That is each page except the splash page.

At last...my final site has been uploaded and is getting on it's merry little way to look hot.

I have figured out templates and CSS styles, and incorporated both into this final design. I didn't come across any problems EXCEPT that the files I copied over onto the mac were apparently READ-ONLY or some crap. I eventually got around that ended up with THIS.

I accidentally deleted all of my ideas pages and images, and will upload tos again when I get back home.

Index lookin hot

I edited the index at my csu account place.

I have also thrown in my final idea on my ideas page (which you can find from my csu account place) and today I am going to start work on the images/menu stuff. I might get a basic layout and/or template down, but we'll see how we go.

This is fun, except I have the flu and a lot of work to get done.

Final idea

Yeah, I finally came up with my final idea for my webpage. It is my basic hand idea, but modified. I have drawn up some sketches of it and will scan and post them later. It's a basic idea, but I feel as if I need something really different.

Anyhoo, look out for it.

Mock-up

I decided to create a rough demo of one of my ideas to see if it works.

This one was hard to figure out. I havent really had much experience with Dreamweaver at all, especially with "layers".

Anyway, you can check out the basic DRAFT here, and leave a comment or two. I hope to create it more like the image without the frame along the top, plus the crowd silhouette will hopefully have more detail.
